Scratch Video Game Design (3rd-5th) at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School
10-week Session
Wednesdays from 2:50-3:50 pm
Class Dates: January 7, 14, 21, 28 ; February 4, 11, 25 ; March 4, 11, 18
In this course, students will dive deeper into coding by designing interactive games and animated stories using Scratch, a block-based programming platform. They’ll learn to apply core programming concepts such as loops, conditionals, variables, and event-driven logic to bring their ideas to life. Students will start by outlining game mechanics or story flow, then build their projects step-by-step using code blocks to control characters, add sound effects, and create engaging user interactions. This course is perfect for young creators ready to take their coding skills to the next level!
